Free Gemini API credits

Yes: the Gemini API has a free tier in Google AI Studio for Flash and Flash-Lite models, within rate limits. Free-tier data can be used to improve Google's products. The $300 Google Cloud trial can't pay for the Gemini API in AI Studio.
